Joe befriended one of Gloria’s five brothers in middle school and was determined from the moment he met her to win her heart. On Feb. 28, 1960, these childhood sweethearts were married in New York City, N.Y.

Shortly thereafter, their first son, Joseph F. Capuozzo, arrived on the scene and is currently living in Ft. Lauderdale. Next, they gave birth to their daughter, Anne Moore, who is a real estate investor here in Cape Coral. Two more sons to follow were Brad Capuozzo, who owns and operates CRC Mortgage in Pembroke Pines, and Tony Capuozzo, who is currently residing in Cape Coral.

Their four children have blessed them with eight grandchildren. The Capuozzo children are Pauline, Joseph, Bradford, Angelina, and Austin. The Moore children are Daniel, Jaclynn, and Patrick. All were born and raised in Florida.

Joe and Gloria Capuozzo are active members of our local society. Joe teaches boat safety with the Cape Coral Power Squadron and is a lifetime member. Both are former executive members on other local club boards including Gad-A-Bouts and NBS clubs. Gloria is also a proud participant of the Red Hat Society, a former local investment group leader and enjoys ladies lunch bunch outings.

Joe is also involved with the Knights of Columbus as a fourth degree Knight.
