BASEBALL
Mariner 4, Port Charlotte 3 (8 innings): The Tritons (13-9) rallied with two runs in the bottom of the seventh to force extra innings, then walked off with the win in the eighth. Trenton Taylor walked with the bases loaded, scoring Ryan Kotarski with the game-winner. Colin Raftery and Xavier Muentes had RBI in the game, and Antonio Marino scored twice. Kotarski was the winning pitcher, working one inning in relief of Muentes.
SW Florida Christian 6, Oasis 5: Jayden Shrider had two his and an RBI for Oasis (9-8). Braden Cody and Michael Miller also drove in a run each for the Sharks.
Island Coast 10, Riverdale 4: The Gators rolled to their 18th win (18-2).
SOFTBALL
Bishop Verot 7, Mariner 1: Payton Breadmore hit two home runs and had three RBI for the Vikings (10-3). Paige Bettermann struck out 14 batters in a complete game. Calleigh Buzard had two hits and an RBI for the Tritons (7-7).
Oasis 9, Ida Baker 7: The win lifts the Sharks to 6-6, while the Bulldogs are 5-5.
FLAG FOOTBALL
Bishop Verot 30, Oasis 0: The Vikings remained undefeated (10-0), blanking a first-year Sharks program (0-4).
BEACH VOLLEYBALL
Cape Coral 3, Ida Baker 2: The Seahawks picked up their second win of the season (2-4), dropping the Bulldogs to 4-3.
Mariner 3, St. John Neumann 2: Mariner evened its record at 5-5 with the victory.
Port Charlotte 4, Bishop Verot 1: Bishop Verot is 8-5.
BOYS LACROSSE
Barron Collier 16, Bishop Verot 11: The loss dropped the Vikings to 4-10.
