Island Coast 6, Clewiston 3: In the Blue Streak Classic, Jackson White, Logan Hawkins, Nate Jaquez and Archer Ellis had an RBI each for Island Coast (13-2). White, Jaquez and Lonnie Campos had two hits each. Archer Ellis had 10 strikeouts in five innings as three Gators pitchers limited Clewiston to one hit.
Mariner 12, Lemon Bay 2 (6 innings): Ryan Kotarski was 2-for-2 with a double and three RBI in a Pirate Spring Break Classic win. Kotarski extended his hitting streak to five games. Nick Oliveros was 2-for-3 with two RBI, and Antonio Marino was 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, three runs scored and an RBI. Xavier Muentes allowed one earned run over six innings.
Bishop Verot 12, Chicago Brother Rice 4: Brody Baxmann’s grand slam was the big hit in the 11-5 Vikings’ Bishop Gorman National Invitational win. Jake Sedmak and Jayden Salazar had two RBI each. Braylon Sheffield was 4-for-4 with three runs scored, and Nico Ayars was 3-for-5 with a double and an RBI. On the mound, Blake Lavenia pitched a complete game, allowing three earned runs and striking out eight.
