District 3A-11 Championship
Bishop Verot 2, Oasis 0: The Vikings (12-0-5) will enter the Region 3A-3 playoffs as the probable top seed, while Oasis (11-5-2), ranked third in the region entering this week, is likely to make the field as a wild-card team.
GIRLS BASKETBALL
St. John Neumann 53, Oasis 17: The Celtics dropped the Sharks to 15-6. Brynn Stambaugh’s nine points led Oasis.
North Port 43, North Fort Myers 38: North sustained its fourth loss of the season (18-4). Freshman Kelley Conley scored 11 points for the Red Knights. Amrey Stokeland had 11 rebounds and 9 points.
Island Coast 47, Cypress Lake 37: The Gators’ seventh win gives the team its most victories since 2019-20.
BOYS BASKETBALL
Palmetto Ridge 58, Oasis 37: The Sharks (14-10) have lost four of five.
Island Coast 50, Cypress Lake 41: Izaiah Bacchus scored 16 points, and SirJoshua Anderson and Jose Bido scored 11 each for the Gators (15-10). Bacchus also had eight rebounds. Island Coast’s 15 wins are the most since 16 in 2012-13.
