Cape Coral 72, Riverdale 43: Jordan Rucker scored 20 points as the Seahawks won their opener. He added four rebounds. Dylan Bandale posted a double-double of 12 points and 11 rebounds along with four steals. Elijah Felix scored 13 points with five boards and four assists.
South Fort Myers 66, Ida Baker 42: The Bulldogs are 0-2 on the season.
GIRLS BASKETBALL
Cape Coral 58, Riverdale 5: The Seahawks are 2-0 after a decisive win over Riverdale.
Island Coast 30, Immokalee 25: Island Coast evened its record at 1-1 with the road victory.
South Fort Myers 45, Ida Baker 40: After a 20-point third quarter to take the lead, the Bulldogs (0-2) saw the Wolfpack rally in the fourth period to take the win..
Naples 36, North Fort Myers 32: Bianca Iten scored nine points, and Faith MacKay and Lily Erickson added eight points and seven rebounds each for the Red Knights (0-1).
Oasis 50, Bonita Springs 47: The Sharks are off to a 2-0 start.
GIRLS SOCCER
Mariner 4, Lemon Bay 1: The Tritons won their fourth in a row to open the season. Adriana Lopez, Kailey Swandner, Alyssa Diamond and Kamila Pena scored the Mariner goals. Kelsi Longabardi made three assists and Caroline Orth made one.
North Fort Myers 5, Lakewood Ranch 2: North (3-1) handed Lakewood Ranch its first loss (4-1-1).
Cape Coral 8, Port Charlotte 0: Sophia Vianest scored three times and added an assist for the Seahawks (3-2-1). Payton Jones had two goals, while Zooe Maurillo, Alexis Myers and Callie Gee added a goal each.
Oasis 5, Community School of Naples 0: Erin Vezzola led Oasis (4-2) with two goals. Jazlyn Forbes, Kaelyn Andrews and Kayla Theobald scored a goal each.
BOYS SOCCER
Oasis 8, Community School of Naples 0: Tyler Kerr scored twice and had three assists for the Sharks (4-2). Lars Fahnemann scored his first high school goal, and Blaine Bollinger, Sean Conger and Jacobo Herrera also scored. Caden Bly made three assists and Preston Mars added a helper. Marek Kostrewa and Lucas Pruett combined to earn the shutout in goal.
Bishop Verot 2, Cardinal Mooney 2, tie: Verot played to its third draw in five matches to stand 2-0-3 on the young season.
Bonita Springs 2, Ida Baker 0: Thursday’s loss left the Bulldogs at 3-3-2.
Gateway 7, Island Coast 0: The Gators are still searching for their first win.
