Mariner 18, Bonita Springs 14: The Tritons evened their record at 1-1 with a road victory. It was the first regular-season win for Mariner under new coach Brian Staats.

Port Charlotte 51, North Fort Myers 7: Adrian Scott caught a 37-yard touchdown pass from Caleb Curtis to provide the Red Knights’ scoring.

Cypress Lake 48, Ida Baker 7: The Bulldogs scored on a 1-yard run by Gage Blanchard.

Cape Coral at Lemon Bay, ppd.: A “medical outbreak” involving 25 Seahawks players caused the postponement of Friday’s scheduled game. Both schools had open dates on Oct. 4, so the game was moved to that date.

Bishop Verot 66, Tampa Catholic 12: The Vikings’ victory against Tampa Catholic was a no-doubter. Deshon Jenkins scored on runs of 62 and 44 yards, while Carter Smith had a 17-yard TD pass to Marquan Young and a 5-yard run. Ayden Gonzalez ran for a 22-yard score, Ida Dale a 36-yarder and Alec Dusold scored from 18 yards out; Totch Turner recovered a fumble in the end zone for another Bishop Verot TD.
