BOYS SOCCER
Mariner 2, Stuart Pine 0: Hugo Cruz and Neil Zela scored for the Tritons (3-3-2). Federico Butraigo had two saves for the shutout in goal.
Oasis 7, SW Florida Christian 3: Tyler Kerr’s five goals powered the Sharks (7-3) to their third win in a row. Mario Acosta had a big game with two goals and two assists. Josh Hill made 10 saves in goal. Ryan Rosado made two assists, and Nicky Odar and Matty Zea had an assist each.
Cape Coral 2, Estero 2 (tie): The Seahawks are 2-3-2 after Thursday’s draw.
Fort Myers 3, Bishop Verot 0: Verot slipped to 1-3-2.
Charlotte 8, Island Coast 2: Tawny De La Fe Cruz and Anthony Morales More had a goal and an assist each for the 2-5-1 Gators.
GIRLS SOCCER
North Fort Myers 0, Lakewood Ranch 0 (tie): Neither the 5-0-3 Red Knights nor the 6-0-1 Mustangs could find the net in a battle of unbeatens.
Oasis 9, SW Florida Christian 1: Ariana Suarez posted five goals to lead the Sharks (5-2-1). Neveah Rogers made three assists and Erin Vezzola had two. Also scoring goals were Jaclynn Mars, Maddison Davis and Alyssa Neuhausel, and Jazlyn Forbes, Ashley Lynn and Mallory Morano contributed assists. Elizabeth Ali made five saves to earn the win in goal.
Estero 3, Cape Coral 2: Cape (3-5) scored twice in the second half, but came up just short.
Fort Myers 3, Bishop Verot 1: Ava Irion scored for the Vikings (2-3-1) on an assist by Jillian Haataja.
BOYS BASKETBALL
St. John Neumann 71, Cape Coral Christian 29: The Crusaders lost their season opener to 4-1 Neumann.
Mariner 51, Gateway 47: The Tritons (3-5) handed the Eagles (3-1) their first loss.
GIRLS BASKETBALL
Seacrest Country Day 48, Bishop Verot 40: The loss dropped the Vikings to 4-3.
Riverdale 65, North Fort Myers 28: North remains in search of its first win (0-7).
South Fort Myers 45, Oasis 23: Emma Osinski and Maci Stambaugh scored eight points each for Oasis (3-4).
