BOYS SOCCER

North Fort Myers 5, Oasis 3: The Oasis Boys Sharks lost a tough one on the road to North Fort Myers. Mario Acosta had 3 goals and Caden Bly and Matthew Zea each contributed an assist. The Sharks are back at it on Monday the 5th versus First Baptist Academy.

BOYS BASKETBALL

Lakeland Victory Christian 91, Mariner 58: The Tritons’ slow start (1-5) continued with a loss to Victory Christian (4-0).

Friday

BOYS SOCCER

Mariner 2, DeSoto County 0: Caden Sandrus and Marcel Tovar scored as the Tritons (2-2-2) handed DeSoto its first loss (6-1-1). Federico Butriago’s five second-half saves preserved the shutout.

North Fort Myers 5, Oasis 3: The Red Knights (1-6-2) picked up their first win, knocking off the 4-3 Sharks.

GIRLS SOCCER

North Fort Myers 3, Oasis 1: The Red Knights remained undefeated at 4-0-2. For Oasis, Annabelle Llewellyn scored on an assist by Alyssa Neuhausel. Angelina Acevedo-Montalvo had 12 saves for the Sharks (4-2).

Fort Myers 7, Cape Coral 1: Cape slipped to 3-3 on the season.

GIRLS BASKETBALL

Oasis 31, Island Coast 23: Maci Stambaugh led Oasis with 17 points, and Emma Osinski scored 10 points. The Sharks are 2-2 and the Gators 3-3 after Friday’s contest. Avery Brincat had 11 points and 13 rebounds for Island Coast.

South Fort Myers 81, Ida Baker 49: South (2-3) dropped the Bulldogs to 1-4.

BOYS BASKETBALL

Palmetto Ridge 78, Ida Baker 42: Baker has lost its first three games.

Oasis 62, SW Florida Christian 49: The Sharks earned their first win (1-1) of the season.

Cape Coral 57, North Fort Myers 51: Cape is 2-0, 1-0 District 6A-11, while North is 1-2, 0-1.

Thursday

GIRLS BASKETBALL

Bishop Verot 57, Cape Coral 38: Reese Fry scored 16 points and Sofia Roman 14 to lead the Vikings (4-1) past the Seahawks (3-2). Cape Coral got 14 points from Nicole Rodriguez and 12 from Myah Pulisciano.

Island Coast 46, Dunbar 42: The Gators held off Dunbar’s fourth-quarter rally to raise their record to 3-2. Avery Brincat led the way for Island Coast with 18 points, 15 rebounds and three blocked shots. Eyvette Osmer scored 10 points for the Gators.

GIRLS SOCCER

Ida Baker 4, Gateway 0: Baker scored four times in the second half to earn its first victory (1-4). In the process, the Bulldogs handed Gateway its first defeat (3-11).

Cape Coral 8, Island Coast 0: The Seahawks improved to 3-2.

BOYS SOCCER

Bishop Verot 2, Venice 2 (tie): The Vikings (0-2-2) and Indians (3-2-3) played to a draw.

Gateway 2, Ida Baker 0: The Eagles are 4-0-2 after their win against the 1-4 Bulldogs.

Cape Coral 5, Island Coast 1: Both the Seahawks and Gators are 2-3-1 after Cape’s win.

BOYS BASKETBALL

Fort Myers 74, Ida Baker 35: Two games into the season, Fort Myers is 2-0 and the Bulldogs are 0-2.

North Fort Myers 51, Bonita Springs 50: The Red Knights (1-1) held off a second-half charge by the Bull Sharks (1-2).

Island Coast 51, Imagine School North Port 40: The Gators earned their first victory (1-2) of the young season.

Mariner 72, Dunbar 47: The Tritons picked up their first victory (1-4) in dominating fashion.
