Football
Canterbury 21, Oasis 0: A game postponed by weather on Thursday was shortened by more bad weather Saturday morning.
Friday
Football
North Fort Myers 38, South Fort Myers 0: The weather did more to hold back the Red Knights than the Wolfpack could manage. Three lightning delays made a long night of it. Gabriel Duross had a 5-yard touchdown run and threw an 18-yard scoring pass to Jaiden Jones. Defense and special teams added points as Rontrez Johnson had a 35-yard interception return for a score, while Levontai (Bo) Summersett faked a punt and passed to Jordan Carr for 47 yards and a TD. Summersett also ran for a 4-yard TD and a 2-point conversion, and connected with Gordon for another two-pointer. Daniel Jacquez kicked a 31-yard field goal. Ceon Gordon rushed for 97 yards.
Dunbar 44, Bishop Verot 27: An early 15-7 Vikings lead melted away as the Tigers took control. Carter Smith of Verot passed for three touchdowns, two to Tookie Watts (21 and 69 yards) and one to Tre Watts of 19 yards, and also ran for a 5-yard TD.
Cape Coral at Bonita Springs, ppd.: The Seahawks trailed 15-7 in the second quarter when the game was called. Since the contest did not reach halftime, the two teams will start over at 6 p.m. today at Bonita Springs.
Island Coast at East Lee County, ppd.: A third lightning delay halted play with 10:58 to play in the first half and the Gators trailing 9-0. The game will be resumed on Friday, Sept. 23, an open date for both schools. A starting time has not been announced.
