American Boating Course to start Sept. 12
The Cape Coral Power Squadron will be offering the American Boating Course monthly for 2022. The 12-hour course will be held at the Power Squadron, located at 917 S.E. 47th Terrace.

The in-depth America’s Boating Course, which provides the basics boaters need to get out on the water safely, will be offered at 7 p.m. Sept. 12, Oct. 10 and Nov. 7.
Topics covered during the course include Boat Handling, Cruising an Cruise Planning, Engine Mainte-nance, Hurricane Preparations for Boaters, Marine Electrical Systems, Electronic Navigation, Paddle Smart, Radar for Boaters, Sail, Weather and Basic Weather and Forecasting.
In addition, there will be in-depth courses on Boat Handling, Tuesday, Sept. 6, at 6 p.m., and Weather, Tuesday, Oct. 3, at 7 p.m.
A one-day seminar on Using VHF/DSC Marine Radio, Tuesday, Nov. 8, at 2 p.m.
