FORT MYERS – The Mighty Mussels managed just four hits Tuesday, getting shut out for the first time all season at Hammond Stadium.

The Dunedin Blue Jays (30-40, 2-2) got four hitless innings from starting pitcher Trenton Wallace before Ben Baggett and Matt Svanson (4-4) put up five straight zeroes to seal the 2-0 win.

Fort Myers (42-25, 1-2) got two men on in the eighth, but Keoni Cavaco was thrown out at home plate to end the inning.

Mussels’ starter Travis Adams (4-4) pitched well, logging five innings while surrendering two runs (one earned) on four hits.

The Fort Myers bullpen was spotless, as Juan Mendez and Samuel Perez each tossed two scoreless innings.

The Mussels will look to get even at 12 p.m. today. Pierson Ohl (3-3, 4.70) makes the start for Fort Myers, opposed by Michael Dominguez (0-3, 6.34) of Dunedin. Coverage begins at 11:45 a.m. on the Mighty Mussels Baseball Network.
