An early report from the FHSAA Track & Field State Meet at the University of Florida in Gainesville, in the Class 2A competition, Bishop Verot’s Wyatt Whalen has captured the tile in the shot put with a toss of 16.32m (53 feet, 6 1/2 inches). Later in the day, Whalen finished third in the discus competition.

Also, Raven Gadson of Bishop Verot finished 8th in the triple jump competition.
