Mueller, a junior, blasted two homers and collected eight RBI in three Gator victories during his nomination week. The University of Alabama commit had a five-RBI performance against Cape Coral, and scored seven total runs going 7-for-8 over three games.

Most recently, Mueller cranked three home runs and had six RBIs in a District 4A-13 victory over Mariner Wednesday night.

“Over spring break, I had a rough week, so I felt I needed to improve and get locked in,” Mueller said of his Athlete of the Week performance. “This year I’m trying to work the opposite field and make sure I can hit to all parts of the field all season long.”
