Tampa Berkeley Prep 38, Bishop Verot 0: The Berkeley Prep Cougars (10-0), the top seed in Region 3A-2, advanced to next week’s region final. Bishop Verot’s season ended at 6-5. The Buccaneers pulled away with a 17-point third quarter.

Girls Basketball

Mariner 68, Island Coast 18: The Tritons are off to a 2-0 start after a dominant win against Island Coast (0-2).

Oasis 56, North Fort Myers 20: Gabby Goldberg led the Sharks (2-1) with 21 points, Emma Osinski added 15 points and Bethany Cabral added 9.

South Fort Myers 72, Ida Baker 12: Baker took a hard first loss (2-1) as the Wolfpack won its second (2-0).

Girls Soccer

Mariner 7, Key West 0: The Conchs (1-2) came a long way to lose big to the Tritons (5-0). It was Mariner’s fourth shutout in five matches. Marlee Gretz had a hat trick, while Arianna McIntyre scored twice and made an assist. Also providing offense for the Tritons were Asia Alexander and Destiny Gunby with goals, and Taylor Arch with an assist.

Cape Coral 8, Island Coast 0: Jenna Gogo and Katelyn Bly paced the Seahawks (4-1) with two goals each. Isabella Cruz had a goal and an assist, Claire Henry, Emmy Pardo and Destiny Lowe a goal each, and Emma Kennedy made two assists. The Gators fell to 0-4.

Ida Baker 8, South Fort Myers 0: The Bulldogs upped their record to 3-1, scoring five times in the first half and coasting past the Wolfpack (1-2).

Boys Soccer

Cape Coral 2, Island Coast 1: The Gators (0-1-1) gave a short-handed Seahawks (2-1-2) side quite a battle. William Pinto Arriaga scored for Island Coast on an Orlando Vargas assist. All three goals came in the second half.

South Fort Myers 5, Ida Baker 1: The Bulldogs fell to 1-3-1 with the road loss to the Wolfpack.
