Island Coast 4, St. Petersburg 3 (9 innings): The Gators (20-7) scored two runs in the top of the seventh to stay alive, then got the game-winner in the ninth. AJ Finco’s single scored Kevin Rodriguez to give Island Coast the victory. Finco had two hits and two RBI overall. Eddie Boe Rodriguez had two hits including a double, driving in a run. Kevin Martinez got the pitching win in relief with 2 1/3 hitless innings, striking out five of the seven batters he faced. The Gators move on to a road regional semifinal matchup Tuesday against Kissimmee Osceola, which upended Fort Myers 5-3 on Thursday.

Fort Pierce John Carroll Catholic 3, Bishop Verot 0: John Carroll struck early with three second-inning runs, and the Rams went on to oust the Vikings (19-9) from the playoffs. Brady Loughren, Andreas Mantz, Kevin RisCassi and Preston Hall had hits for Bishop Verot.
