Charlotte 8, Mariner 7: The Tritons (13-11) came out on the short end of a back-and-forth contest. Mariner led 6-0, then 7-6, but the Tarpons scored the winning runs in the bottom of the sixth. Matthew Morales and Dominick Cotoni had two hits and an RBI each for the Tritons.

Community School of Naples 11, Ida Baker 1: The Bulldogs (4-20) were held to one Jake Ellis hit. Aiden Powers’ RBI scored Cayden Farmer for the Ida Baker run.

South Fort Myers 2, Island Coast 1: The Wolfpack (13-10) got out of a bases-loaded jam in the top of the seventh inning to hang onto the win. South Fort Myers had pushed across what would be the winning run in the bottom of the sixth. Both runs scored against Gators (18-5) pitcher Kevin Rodriguez were unearned. Island Coast managed just two hits, but also drew eight walks.

Softball

Riverdale 6, Ida Baker 3: Hannah McGlade, Julianna Nieves and Jadaly Mejia each had two hits and an RBI for the Bulldogs (10-8), and Adriana Prezespolewski also had a pair of hits. Nieves’ RBI came on a solo home run, and Mejia’s on a triple.

Tennis

Barron Collier 4, North Fort Myers 1: It’ll be Fort Myers at Barron Collier in Thursday’s next round. The Green Wave swept Naples 4-0.

Cape Coral 4, Lakeland McKeel Academy 1: The Seahawks advanced to Thursday’s regional semifinal at Sebring, which defeated Lemon Bay 6-1.
