Softball

Charlotte 5, North Fort Myers 2: Sarah Hamilton and Kendall Wylie drove in the runs for the Red Knights (16-3) in a rare loss.

Cape Coral 3, Lehigh 2: Avery Mytnik drove in two of the Seahawks’ (9-8) runs. Mytnik and Phaedra Jelenowski had two hits each, and Mariyah Negron had an RBI. Mytink also went the distance as pitcher, allowing two runs on four hits while striking out 15.

Mariner 6, Bonita Springs 3: Cheyenne Waddell drove in two runs and allowed only one earned run as the winning pitcher. The Tritons (4-13) won despite totaling three hits.

Barron Collier 10, Ida Baker 0: The Bulldogs (9-7) were held to one hit.

South Fort Myers 12, Island Coast 8: Nakayla Daugherty and Madisyn Watson drove in two runs each for the Gators (2-11). Island Coast was hurt by nine errors. Reina Diaz had three hits.

Baseball

North Fort Myers 8, Cape Coral 4: The score was 4-all after one inning, but the Red Knights (10-12) added two runs in the second and two more in the third to down the Seahawks (5-16). North has swept four games against Cape Coral this season.

Seacrest Country Day 3, Bishop Verot 2: A two-run bottom of the fifth lifted Seacrest over the Vikings (15-6) in the Private 8 Conference tournament. Kevin RisCassi had two hits and an RBI for Bishop Verot, and Preston Hall also drove in a run.

Mariner 7, LaBelle 1: Michael Scalise allowed only one unearned run on three hits, striking out 11 and not walking a batter. Sam Duvall drove in two runs for Mariner (13-8), with Dominick Cotoni and Drew Gifford contributing an RBI each.

Palmetto Ridge 5, Ida Baker 0: Steven Thompson was 2-for-3 for the Bulldogs (4-18).

Island Coast 8, South Fort Myers 2: Kevin Rodriguez struck out 11 in 6 1/3 innings for the Gators (17-4). Demetrius McCants doubled and drove in three runs. Emilo Gonzales added two RBI.

Oasis 7, Golden Gate 5: Grayson Medico doubled and drove in the winning two runs for the Sharks (7-7), and was the winning pitcher with five innings of relief work. Brady Kavanaugh and Joseph Rodriguez had two hits and an RBI each.

Bishop Verot 8, Cypress Lake 7: The Vikings (8-7) play at Canterbury on Thursday for the district championship.

Bishop Verot 24, Cypress Lake 4: Trey Toscano scored seven goals to lead the Vikings (6-5), while Josh Comisar and Jack Cronin had four each. Cronin also made five assists.
