Mariner 7, Ida Baker 0: Michael Scalese pitched a two-hit shutout, striking out 12. Matt Morales and William Wilson had two RBI each for the Tritons (11-8), with Jeff Mackey and Nick Mackey driving in a run apiece. The loss dropped the Bulldogs to 4-16.

Bishop Verot 8, Gulf Coast 6: Matthew Turner doubled and drove in two runs, and Andreas Mantz also had a two-RBI night for the Vikings (13-5). Kevin RisCassi doubled twice. Josiah Velazquez allowed four runs (one earned) in 5 1/3 innings for the victory.

Softball

Cape Coral 8, Mariner 2: Abi Gonzalez and Kiersten Lacombe drove in two runs each for the Seahawks (5-6). Phaedra Jelenowski, Camryn Maurer and Rachel Manes had two hits each. Jamie Jarvis had a three-hit game for the Tritons (3-11), while Katie Campbell and Taylor Cotoni contributed an RBI each.
