Dunbar Tigers Classic: In one of the biggest events of the season, North Fort Myers’ Logan Kobylanski came in first in the discus and Ida Baker’s Cyrus Dawson second in the pole vault.

Softball

Tampa Academy of the Holy Names 3, Bishop Verot 2: Academy of the Holy Names scored the winning run in the bottom of the seventh inning. Aubrey Gatewood doubled and drove in both Vikings (13-2) runs. Victoria had two hits for Verot.

Baseball

Mariner 11, North Fort Myers 3: Four Tritons (5-8) pitchers combined to hold the Red Knights (7-7) to two earned runs. Jeffrey Mackey, Anthony Pimentel, Matthew Morales, Drew Gifford and John Ohime had an RBI each. For North, Gary Kamphouse, Blake Busbee and Logan Smith drove in the Red Knights’ three runs.

Cape Coral 6, Island Coast 2: The Seahawks (6-9) avoided a sweep at the hands of the Gators (12-3), with Justin Czernak homering and driving in two runs. Orion Powell and Alex Kolasinski had an RBI each. Cape took advantage of five Island Coast errors, scoring four unearned runs. Emilio Gonzales and Dylan Masters drove in the Gators’ runs.

Oasis 12, Sarasota Christian 3: The Sharks won their second in a row since spring break, raising their record to 6-5.

Fort Myers 5, Bishop Verot 2: Josiah Velasquez and Joseph De La Nuez had RBI for the Vikings (10-4). It was a hard-luck night for Verot pitcher Joe Hobson, as all five Green Wave runs were unearned.

Softball

North Fort Myers 10, Port Charlotte 0 (5 innings): Kendall Wylie allowed only one hit and didn’t walk a batter over five innings. She also had two hits, scored a run and drove in a run. Kirsten Gnagey was 3-for-3 with a run scored and an RBI. Destiny Rodriguez, Desirae Devine and sydney Morris also had an RBI each for North (10-2, 1-0 District 5A-8).

North Port 16, Island Coast 0 (4 innings): The Bobcats’ Jewelie Vanderkous pitched a four-inning perfect game, striking out nine Gators (1-6) batters.

Evangelical Christian 4, Cape Coral 0: ECS pitcher Zoe Yzaguirre held the Seahawks (5-8) to one hit, striking out 12. Two of the Sentinels’ runs were unearned.

Softball

North Fort Myers 15, Mariner 5: Sarah Hamilton went 4-for-5 with a pair of doubles, scoring three runs and driving in two as the Red Knights (9-2) defeated Mariner (3-7). Sydney Morris also doubled twice and had two RBI. Katie Campbell hit a three-run homer for the Tritons.

Cape Coral 17, Island Coast 0: Abby Garcia and Camryn Maurer drove in three runs each to lead the Seahawks’ 17-hit attack. Rachel Manes, Abi Gonzalez, Emily Schulz and Phaedra Jelenowski had two RBI each for Cape (4-6). Manes and Jelenowski combined a three-hit shutout of the Gators (1-6).

Bishop Verot 3, Naples 2: Naples (7-5) tied the game at 2 in the top of the sixth, but the Vikings (13-1) pushed across the eventual game-winner in the bottom of the inning. Victoria Ash’s RBI single brought Sophia Miller home on the play. Lillie Layne and Ashley Smallwood drove in the other Verot runs. Ash struck out 12, and only one of the two runs against her was earned.

Fort Myers 7, Ida Baker 0: Averie Taylor, Dominique Parker, Zoe DeJournett and Julianna Nieves had hits for the Bulldogs (7-4), who lost their third in a row.

Cypress Lake 10, Oasis 0: The Sharks (4-5) were no-hit by the Panthers (9-3).

Baseball

North Fort Myers 9, Mariner 4: The Red Knights (7-6) were powered by Logan Wilsker and Logan Smith, who had two RBI each. Gavin Hause, Justin Corbitt and Dominic Rendon each drove in a run. For the Tritons (4-8), Sam Duvall and Nick Mackey had RBI.

Island Coast 7, Cape Coral 4: Dylan Masters and Kevin Rodriguez had two RBI each for the Gators (12-2), and Jake Mueller had a solo home run. Eddie Boe Rodriguez and AJ Finco also had an RBI each. For the Seahawks (5-9), who scored three times in the top of the seventh, Wyatt Drury had two RBI and Jordi Guerrero had one.

Oasis 15, Dunbar 5 (5 innings): Thomas Otto drove in three runs, going 2-for-3 with a double as the Sharks (5-5) downed Dunbar. Tony Suarez was 2-for-4 with a double and two RBI and Frank Haba also drove in two runs.

Mariner 5, Lehigh 2: The Tritons are home Tuesday against Ida Baker.
