Boys soccer

Golden Gate 5, Island Coast 3: Jim Midy got the Gators within a goal with nine minutes to go, but the Titans got three second-half goals from Joaquin Acuna to end a dream season for Island Coast (10-5-3). Acuna assisted on both of Golden Gate’s first-half goals. William Pinto Arriaga and Tawny De La Fe Cruz also scored for the Gators.

Region 4A-2

Mariner 6, Dunedin 0: Santiago Guerrero had a hat trick, and Seanpaul Negron and Nicco Gerke each scored and had an assist as the Tritons (18-5-2) advanced to the regional semifinals. The sixth Mariner tally came on a Dunedin own goal.

Baseball

Gulf Coast 4, Island Coast 1: A three-run top of the seventh inning broke a 1-all tie and lifted Golden Gate past the Gators (0-1). Kevin Martinez scored for Island Coast. Island Coast starter Kevin Rodriguez allowed one run in five innings, striking out six.

Softball

Riverdale 12, Mariner 4: Katie Campbell scored twice and drove in a run for the Tritons (0-1). Taylor Cotoni, Cheyenne Waddell and Marissa Sarantapoulas also had RBI.

Tuesday

North Fort Myers 1, Estero 0: Evie McCarthy scored in the third minute, and the Red Knights (15-2-3) made that goal stand up to advance to the regional semifinals.

Naples 4, Cape Coral 0: The Seahawks’ season ends at 14-7-1.
