Girls basketball

Ida Baker 44, Oasis 26: The Bulldogs moved above .500 for the first time since 2012-13, downing the Sharks (4-12) to stand at 11-10. Oasis is home against Evangelical Christian on Monday, while Ida Baker plays at Canterbury.

Bishop Verot 63, SFCA 19: Bishop Verot (8-15) dominated Southwest Florida Christian (1-14) in the Private 8 tournament fifth-place game. The Vikings get some time off before Jan. 29, when they make the short trip to Canterbury.

Boys basketball

Ida Baker 71, Oasis 38: A 22-4 fourth quarter helped the Bulldogs (9-5) pull away from the Sharks (3-12). Ishmael Hajmoussa had a big night with 24 points and 11 rebounds for Ida Baker, while Bo Summersett scored 23 and Devyn Bradwell added 13. For Oasis, Jayden Arpozola scored 9. Oasis next plays Thursday at home with Immokalee. Ida Baker, meanwhile, is home Friday against Gateway Charter.

Lely 54, Bishop Verot 48: Carson Beisner had a big night with 13 points and 14 rebounds in the Vikings’ loss. Jonah Schwartz scored 16 points and Marcos Tejera 12 for Bishop Verot (10-7), which plays at Canterbury on Friday in the third-place game of the Private 8 Conference tournament.

Estero 57, North Fort Myers 36: Estero (9-7) dropped the Red Knights to 3-12. North is right back on the court Friday at East Lee County.

Boys soccer

Bishop Verot 2, Fort Myers 2 (tie): The two old rivals battled to a draw, leaving the Vikings 6-7-4 for the year. The regular-season finale for Bishop Verot is Jan. 29 at Lely.

South Fort Myers 3, Oasis 0: The Sharks (6-5-2) play Tuesday at Evangelical Christian.
