Boys basketball

Lely 58, Cape Coral 45: The Seahawks’ road loss dropped Cape to 3-7 on the year. Cape Coral plays Friday at North Fort Myers.

Cypress Lake 48, Island Coast 47: The Panthers (3-6, 1-1 District 5A-11) rallied in the second half to edge the Gators (2-7, 0-3). Island Coast is home Friday to play Oasis.

St John Neumann 52, Oasis 51: The Celtics evened their season mark at 6-6 while leaving the Sharks 1-9. On Friday, Oasis plays at Island Coast.

Port Charlotte 73, Mariner 65: The Tritons (7-4, 1-2 District 5A-11) fell to a 6-2, 1-0 Pirates team. Mariner travels to Lely on Monday.

Girls basketball

Fort Myers 64, Ida Baker 23: Three games in three days took its toll on the Bulldogs (6-9), who fell to 13-3 Fort Myers. Ida Baker is home Tuesday to face Riverdale.

Island Coast 60, Cypress Lake 37: The Gators (3-7, 1-2 District 5A-11) kept Cypress (0-10, 0-3) winless. Island Coast is home to play Oasis on Friday.

St. John Neumann 58, Oasis 24: The Sharks (2-9) fell Thursday to Neuman (6-3). Oasis is at Island Coast on Friday.

Port Charlotte 64, Mariner 36: The Pirates (8-7, 1-0 District 5A-11) defeated a 2-8, 0-3 Mariner team. The Tritons are home against Cape Coral on Jan. 14.

Gulf Coast 62, Bishop Verot 21: The Sharks (11-4) dominated Thursday’s game at Bishop Verot (3-14). On Saturday, the Vikings have a home game with Seacrest Country Day.

Girls soccer

North Fort Myers 8, Bonita Springs 0: Michelle Horan and Hannah Billhorn scored two goals each for the Red Knights (9-1-2), while Samantha Connar, Evie McCarthy, Kinsey Dold and Anna Carter each scored once. Horan, Connar, Emily Guzman, McCarthy and Alexandria Spiller had an assist each. Allyah Moran had the shutout in goal.

Mariner 2, Barron Collier 2 (tie): Kira Wilson scored off Ryleigh Acosta’s corner kick, lifting the Tritons (9-4-2) into a draw against the Cougars (6-2-3). Acosta, a freshman, drilled a free kick to score the first Mariner goal after Barron Collier had taken a 2-0 lead.,

Lemon Bay 3, Cape Coral 0: Cape (6-4-1) next plays Tuesday at Bishop Verot.

Bishop Verot 7, Oasis 1: Verot (3-2-1, 1-0 District 3A-8) dominated Thursday’s match with Oasis (4-2, 0-1). The Vikings are home Friday to face Tampa Catholic. Oasis’s next match is Tuesday at Dunbar.

Boys soccer

Bishop Verot 1, Oasis 0: The Vikings (5-5-2, 1-0) earned a District 3A-8 victory against the Sharks (6-3-1, 0-1). Bishop Verot travels to Cape Coral on Tuesday, while Oasis at Dunbar the same evening.

Bonita Springs 8, North Fort Myers 0: The Red Knights (0-13) travel to North Port on Tuesday.
