Girls basketball

Cape Coral 54, Ida Baker 31: Sierra Moore scored 30 points Tuesday, surpassing the 1,000-point mark for her career, and added 8 rebounds. Yarily Pacheco had 8 points and 8 boards for the Seahawks (11-4, 3-1 District 5A-11). The Bulldogs slipped to 5-9, 2-3.

Naples 52, Bishop Verot 28: The Vikings (3-13) were turned away by Naples (7-8), leaving Bishop Verot winless on its home court this season.

Canterbury 42, North Fort Myers 37: Tuesday’s narrow loss left the Red Knights at 1-5 on the year, while the Cougars reached 4-6.

Boys basketball

Ida Baker 69, Cape Coral 64: Boe Summersett scored 17 points to lead Ida Baker, one of four Bulldogs (4-3, 3-1 District 5A-11) in double figures. Mason Gonzales had 14 points, Ishmael Hajmoussa 12 and Kenny Petit added 10. Ryan Acuff’s game-high 18 points led the Seahawks (3-6, 2-2). Ida Baker’s Devyn Bradwell became the Bulldogs’ all-time leader in 3-point shots as the Bulldogs completed a regular-season sweep of Cape Coral.

Bishop Verot 42, Island Coast 29: Carson Beisner scored 10 points, and Jonah Schwartz and Ethan Tipton 9 each for Bishop Verot. The Vikings dominated the second half 25-12 to reach 6-3 on the year. The host Gators slipped to 2-5. Tipton also had 8 rebounds.

Girls soccer

Oasis 4, SFCA 0: The Sharks blanked Southwest Florida Christian to improve to 4-2 on the season. SFCA fell to 2-5-2.

Canterbury 3, Mariner 0: The Tritons’ pre-Christmas slump carried into the New Year as 8-0 Canterbury left Mariner at 9-4-1 on the year.

North Fort Myers 3, Evangelical Christian 1: North (8-1-2) erased a 1-0 ECS (5-5) lead at the half.

Boys soccer

Oasis 3, SWFC 2: Oasis scored all three of its goals in the second half to come back from a 1-0 halftime deficit. The win raised the Sharks’ record to 6-2-1, while SWFC dropped to 2-5-1.

Mariner 2, Canterbury 2 (tie): Nacho Velardez and Nicco Gerke scored for the Tritons (10-1-1) as Mariner played Canterbury (8-2-1) to a draw. Sammy Bedoya had an assist for Mariner.tritons

Evangelical Christian 5, North Fort Myers 1: ECS (4-2-3) kept the Red Knights winless (0-12).
