Mariner 8, Cypress Lake 0: The unbeaten Tritons (8-0) got two goals each from Ryleigh Acosta and Brooke Yount, plus goals from Gloria Quintanilla, Cameron Fallacara, Eva Ramirez and Arianna Wilson. Quintanilla had two assists, while Ramirez, Arianna McIntyre and Arianna Wilson also contributed assists.

Island Coast 4, Gateway Charter 1: Tuesday’s win lifted the Gators to 2-3 on the season while keeping the Griffins winless at 0-7.

Cape Coral 8, Dunbar 0: Cape (4-1) netted seven first-half goals in routing Dunbar (2-2).

Oasis 8, St. John Neumann 0: The Sharks (1-1) had little trouble with the Celtics (0-3) on Tuesday.

North Fort Myers 1, Riverdale 1: North (4-0-1) remained unbeaten with a second-half goal to pull even with the Raiders (2-1-1).

Canterbury 8, Ida Baker 0: The Bulldogs are 2-3 heading into Thursday’s match with Oasis.

Girls basketball

Lely 65, Mariner 48: A 4-1 Trojans squad kept the Tritons (0-5) winless on the season.

Cape Coral 61, Ida Baker 43: The Seahawks (5-1, 1-1 District 5A-11) dropped the Bulldogs to 1-3, 1-1 on the season.  

Lehigh 51, Bishop Verot 19: A tough night in Lehigh left the Vikings with a 2-4 record.

Boys basketball

Evangelical Christian 64, Ida Baker 44: The Bulldogs took it on the chin in their season opener, falling to ECS (1-2) in a day game on the Sentinels’ home court in Fort Myers.  Ida Baker has games Thursday at home with Island Coast on Thursday and Mariner on Friday.

Riverdale 79, North Fort Myers 63: Atavious Weaver scored 21 points and Aidan Meers 12 for the Red Knights 

Lehigh 71, Bishop Verot 46: The Vikings are off to a 0-3 start.

Golden Gate 57, Oasis 45: Tuesday’s loss left the Sharks 0-2 on the year.

Boys soccer

Mariner 8, Cypress Lake 0: Nicco Gerke found the net four times as the Tritons (4-0) dominated Cypress Lake.  Also scoring for Mariner were Sean Paul Negron, Jose Bermudez, Santiago Guerrero and Owen Osgood.  Guerrero also had three assists, while Negron and Marcel Tovar also made assists. Cypress fell to 2-2.

Island Coast 4, Gateway Charter 0: Jimsanderson Midy scored twice and made an assist to lead the Gators (1-1-2), with Enrique Gomez and William Pinto Arriaga also netting goals.  Tommy Forte, Jose Rosas and Allesandro Argueta contributed an assist each.  Tyler Every and Dawid Dygdon split time in goal for the shutout. 

Riverdale 8, North Fort Myers 0: Emilio Paez had a hat trick and an assist as the Raiders defeated the Red Knights (0-5).

Oasis 7, St. John Neumann 2: Oasis improved to 2-1-1, while the Celtics stumbled to 0-2.

Cape Coral 4, Dunbar 1: Solon Pinto and Lorenzo Montiveros each had a goal and an assist, and Daniel Word and Joao Soares each added a goal for the Seahawks (5-1-1). Lucas Cunha added an assist.

Canterbury 2, Ida Baker 0: The Bulldogs slipped to 1-6.
