District 3A-8 

Bishop Verot 3, Oasis 0: The Vikings advanced to the second round of the District 3A-8 tournament with a 25-13, 25-9, 25-9 win against Oasis.  Bishop Verot, 3-15 on the season, will face fourth-seeded Canterbury, a 3-0 winner against Gateway Charter, in Tuesday’s semifinals. The Sharks finished the season 5-10. Oasis came into Monday’s match as the top seed, with all Florida district brackets being set by a blind draw.  On the other side of the bracket, No. 7 St. John Neumann swept No. 2 Moore Haven and will face either third seed Community School of Naples or Bonita Springs in the semifinals.

Boys District 2A-11: North Fort Myers finished third in an event won by host school Port Charlotte. Cape Coral was sixth. Individually, North’s Duncan Fischer was second with a round of 76, and Aiden Denlinger seventh with an 84.
