The Oasis Sharks boys basketball team (1-18) broke into the win column Monday, downing the Donahue Catholic Academy Shamrocks (7-9), 58-53.

Oasis was scheduled to travel to Venice Tuesday.

Boys basketball

Cape Coral 81, East Lee County 61: K’dyn Waters scored 32 points to lead the Seahawks (8-11) past the Jaguars (5-12). Jamie O’Conner and Tyler Williams added 15 points each. Johnny Brown III led East Lee County with 20 points. Cape plays Thursday at Dunbar.

Estero 70, Island Coast 62: A five-point first quarter put the Gators into a hole the would not escape. The Wildcats (6-14) dropped Island Coast to 1-18 heading into Tuesday’s game at Cypress Lake.

Girls basketball

Cape Coral 70, East Lee County 11: Savannah Lang scored 24 points to lead the Seahawks (16-8). Sierra Moore scored 15 points and Yarily Pacheco added 14 for Cape Coral, which plays at home Wednesday against Seffner Christian.
