North rallies to 3-0 win over Verot

Haley Weaver drove in two runs and Marion Reed added another an inning later Thursday night to carry North Fort Myers past Bishop Verot 3-0.

In the third inning, Sarah Giampalo reached base when hit by a pitch. Reed reached on an error before Weaver doubled to drive in both runners. In the fourth, Shelby Coyne singled and Reed drove her in with a single for the 3-0 lead.

Mackenzie Peterson (10-2) made the lead stand up, allowing one hit while striking out eight to record the shutout for the Red Knights (16-3, who visit Cypress Lake on Friday.
