Red Sox open up JetBlue
The Boston Red Sox are once again hosting a free, public open house to give fans an opportunity to walk freely around JetBlue Park while accessing player autographs.
The whole family will enjoy inflatables on the field for kids as well as face painting, magicians, discounted concessions, photo opportunities with Wally the Green Monster and his little sister Tessie, self-guided tours of the park, free snacks and more.
The event from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday is open to the public with free admission, including complimentary parking.
Guests are invited to watch that morning’s workouts before the open house at 9 a.m.
JetBlue Park at Fenway South is located at 11500 Fenway South Drive, Fort Myers.
The Red Sox open their exhibition season on Monday with a 1:05 p.m., single-admission doubleheader against the Boston College Eagles and the Northeastern University Huskies.
Their Grapefruit League schedule launches at JetBlue Park on Wednesday against Boston’s Chairman’s Cup rival the Minnesota Twins. They play a rematch at Hammond Stadium on Thursday before taking on other spring rivals.
It’s the first of seven games between the cross-town spring training foes.
