Bulldogs take down Mariner, North
Three players were on their game Wednesday at Coral Oaks, shooting rounds of 3-over-par 39s to share medalist honors as Ida Baker topped Mariner and North Fort Myers in a rain make-up match.
Baker’s Alec DiLallo, teammate Ben Hunt and Mariner’s Joe Sagi shared medalist honors with the rounds of 39. Baker won the match with a team total of 167 compared to Mariner’s 208 and North’s 221.
Trent Dickey led North’s squad with a 49.
Adrian Strey shot 40 and David Trawick 49 to finish out the Bulldogs’ scorers. No other player had a score lower than the Tritons’ Wade Williamson’s 53.
Mariner (4-5) faces Lehign on Thursday at Copperhead while North takes on Island Coast at Herons Glen and Baker hosts Riverdale at Palmetto Pine.
At Royal Tee: Brooke Ciccone led Cape Coral to victory over Estero in a tight match Wednesday 208-209.
Ciccone shot 44 with help from Mia Nelson with 46. Chloe Ermmarino carded 58 and Brittney Schell 61 for the Seahawks (12-1), who play for the LCAC title on Monday at The Forest Country Club.
