Bishop Verot improved to 17-2 on the season Tuesday night with a 25-17, 25-19, 25-14 victory over LaBelle.

Allie Gerlach handed out 31 assists to pace the Vikings, who also got nine kills from Jessica Gedra along with 22 digs and seven service aces from Alyssa Collins.

The Vikings host Gateway Charter on Thursday.

Charlotte 3, Ida Baker 0: Visiting Charlotte cruised to a straight-set victory at Ida Baker Tuesday night 25-14, 25-14, 25-22.

Despite 13 kills and 11 digs by Amanda Gross, the Bulldogs struggled against the Tarpons. Alicia Marzullo added seven kills and five digs while Val Carvajal handed out 12 assists.

The Bulldogs (8-11) host Port Charlotte in their next match on Oct. 6.

Riverdale 3, Mariner 0: Riverdale’s attacking offense tamed Mariner in three games 25-6, 25-6, 25-18 Tuesday night.

Senior Jasmine O’Neill served up an ace and four total points on serve in the third game while also making two blocks and one dig to lead the Tritons.

Lemon Bay 3, Island Coast 0: Island Coast went down fighting, but still lost in straight sets at Lemon Bay Tuesday night 25-21, 25-15, 25-20.

Maegan Harward and Mikaela Monahan led the Gators with four kills apiece. Riley Hare was credited with eight digs while Megan Smith served up five aces.

The Gators host North Fort Myers on Thursday.

Oasis 3, Gateway 0: Freshman Alexis Piatkowski delivered nine service aces to go with three kills, four assists and four solo blocks to lead Oasis to a 25-11, 25-14, 25-14 victory Tuesday at Gateway Charter.

Vanessa Robbins contributed six kills and seven assists while Arnae Molin added two aces, three kills and seven assists.

Golf

(Girls) At Fort Myers Country Club: Cape Coral kept its unbeaten season in tact Tuesday with an eight-stroke victory over Fort Myers.

Brooke Ciccone shot a match low round of 41 on the par 35 course to lead the Seahawks to a team total of 204. Mia Nelson contributed a 43. Kelli Weisse carded a 45 to lead the Green Wave to a team total of 212.

The Seahawks (12-0) host Estero Wednesday at Royal Tee.

At Coral Lanes: Cape Coral swept its match with Fort Myers Tuesday afternoon, the boys beating the Green Wave 4-1 and the girls prevailing 3-2.
