Seahawks open volleyball season with win over ‘Pack
Cape Coral High made its season debut at South Fort Myers Tuesday night and it was a good one.
The Seahawks (1-0) dropped the first game, but rallied to take the next three to defeat the Wolfpack 20-15, 25-23, 25-19, 25-23 Tuesday night.
The Seahawks were led to victory by Diedre Ceremond, who delivered 11 kills and Mackenzie Buss with five. Danielle Smith got in on the action by handing out 14 assists.
Cape makes its home debut Thursday against crosstown rival Mariner.
Bishop Verot 3, SWF Christian 0: Mindie Mabry delivered 12 kills at the net to go with 10 digs to spark Verot past SWF Christian in straight sets 25-11, 25-18, 25-17 Tuesday night.
Allyssa Collins contributed a team-high 17 digs while Margaux Fry recorded six blocks. Verot (1-0) visits St. John Neumann on Thursday.
