Tuesday night’s series opener between the Fort Myers Miracle and Charlotte Stone Crabs at Hammond Stadium was postponed two hours before the scheduled first pitch due to unplayable field conditions and heavy rains expected in the immediate forecast.

As the final scheduled game at home in the Florida State League’s first half with the Stone Crabs, the game will be made up at Charlotte Sports Park on Wednesday as a pair of seven inning games in a doubleheader. The first game starts at 5 p.m. and the second will begin approximately 30 minutes after the first game is over.

The Miracle (24-27) are looking to stop a five-game losing streak against the Stone Crabs (34-17), who lead the South Division standings by eight games over the St. Lucie Mets. The Miracle have slipped from second to fourth place 10 games back in the standings during the losing streak.

The Miracle return to Hammond Stadium to start a three-game home series against the Bradenton Marauders starting Thursday.

Fans with tickets to Tuesday’s game can exchange them for any regular season non-fireworks game throughout the rest of the 2015 season. Tickets can be exchanged for a fireworks night for a $1 upgrade.
