Ida Baker trailed from the third inning on in Monday’s 6-2 loss at Fort Myers.

“We played our worse game of the year,” said Bulldogs coach Bob VanDeventer.

Darren LaTorre’s double was the only extra-base hit for the Bulldogs, who surrendered three runs in the fifth inning to seal their fate. Chris Mendez was tagged with the loss, striking out four and allowing seven hits through 4 1/3 innings.

The Bulldogs (13-3) host Port Charlotte on Tuesday.
