Jordan Pinto’s leadoff triple in the fourth inning led to the go-ahead run Monday night in Ida Baker’s 4-2 victory over Cypress Lake.

Darren LaTorre contributed a double and Gianni Williams added an RBI double. Bryce VanHorn pitched five innings, allowing one earned run while striking out seven to earn the win. Christian Menendez tossed two scoreless innings with one strikeout to preserve the victory.

The Bulldogs (12-2) host Cape Coral on Tuesday.

Softball

Oasis 28, Seacrest 1: Kaylee Morfis and Katie O’Connor belted grand slam home runs to power Oasis to victory over Seacrest on Monday.

Morris had a total of three hits, including a double with five RBI, and O’Connor finished with two hits and four RBI. O’Connor (2-1) also was the winning pitcher.

The Sharks (7-9) host LaBelle on Tuesday.
