Verot blanks Naples 10-0

In an unusual twist, Bishop Verot pounded Naples 10-0 Wednesday night. The Eagles own 10 softball state championships.

On this night, Verot sophomore Nicole Rodriguez held Naples hitless while striking out 13 and walking four to earn her second win on the mound.

Erin Kyle connected for three base hits and drove in two runs while Jennie Boisvert drove in a pair an scored a pair on two hits.

The Vikings (4-0), who scored six runs in the third inning to put the game away, play at Fort Myers on Friday.
