Tritons upend Green Wave 70-58
Rodney Hunter added 28 points to his career total Friday night in leading Mariner past Fort Myers 70-58.
Hunter also had a team-high seven rebounds to back Jacob Tracey’s 11 points and Jamhel Myers’ nine points and six rebounds.
“We took the lead in the second quarter and had control,” said Tritons coach James Harris. “It was a good team win for us.”
The Tritons turned a first-quarter deficit into a four-point lead at halftime and up 10 after three quarters.
The Tritons (16-4) play at Lehigh Saturday.

Port Charlotte 50, Island Coast 33: Matt Jeannelas led the Gators with 20 of the team’s 33 points Friday night to go with six rebounds in a loss to Port Charlotte.
“We only allowed them 50 points this time,” said Gators coach Greg Coleman. “They scored 76 the last time against us. We played very well defensively. For the second night we played hard against a quality opponent that will get us ready for districts.
The Gators (12-10) visit Cape Coral on Tuesday.,
