Estero High School announced Tuesday the selection of Jeff Hanlon to serve as its next head football coach. After reviewing over 60 applications from highly qualified candidates, the faculty and student-athletes serving on a search committee chose four candidates to be interviewed.
Hanlon was chosen by the committee to usher in the next era of Wildcat football. He comes to Estero from Lehigh where he served as an educator and an assistant coach for the Lightning football program.
“We are excited to have Coach Hanlon come on board to lead our football program,” said Estero principal Clayton Simmons in a prepared release. “His past and present history with the school gives him a true understanding of what it means to be an Estero Wildcat on and off the field.”
