Ida Baker 3, Estero 2: Landon Day connected for two goals Wednesday night, but it was the goal by Cody Grover in the final five minutes that lifted Baker to victory at Estero.
Edwin Alvarez contributed to the win with a pair of assists while goalkeeper Trey Crispin made a game-saving eight saves. All goals were scored in the second half.
Baker never trailed in the game, scoring the first and second goals only to have Estero respond each time with tying scores. That set up Grover’s game-winner as time was running out.
