Refurbished Royal Tee re-opening
Workers have put the finishing touches on renovtions at Royal Tee Golf Club, completing an 18-month process. The club is celebrating this Saturday with a Grand Re-Opening ceremony and open house.
The ribbon cutting ceremony kicks off the event at 10 a.m. with lots of golf, contests, tours and real estate open houses running until 3 p.m. At leadt 500 guests are expected to attend.
The club, the only gated and golfing community in Cape Coral at Cape Royal, consists of three nine-hole courses. One nine-hole course was closed down at a time for renovations that included new greens and tees and went through a re-certification process. The greens are completely new from earth to sand to seed.
The clubhouse also underwent changes that include a new “frosty” bar that keeps glasses cold, a new room and new meeting space.
Visitors can participate in a putting contest with prizes, a flop-shot contest, club demonstrations, and tours of the facilities in addition to open houses at a number of homes in Cape Royal listed by realtors.
Royal Tee also offers free use of a special golf cart designed for use by disabled veterans without lower limbs or unable to stand well enough to hit a golf ball whenever they show up to play a round.
