1 min read

The FGCU women’s soccer team tied the program single-season wins record Wednesday night with a 4-0 defeat of Palm Beach Atlantic at the FGCU Soccer Complex, extending its already program-best win streak to 10 games.

The Eagles (14-3, 6-0 Atlantic Sun) welcome Stetson (5-11-1, 2-4) at home Saturday night to conclude the regular season.

Ally Kasun opened the scoring for FGCU in the fifth minute and Emma Blackwell provided the insurance late in the first half to put this one out of reach. Shannen Wacker collected four points with a pair of assists and her sixth goal of the season while Julia Roddar contributed her first goal of the season to complete the scoring.

Wacker’s two helpers tied the FGCU single-season assists mark held by Ashely Ciesielczyk, who accomplished the feat during the 2011 season and put her four back of Ciesielczyk’s all-time record of 28 assists.
