Seacrest Academy tops Oasis
Oasis followed up Monday’s straight-set victory at Cape Coral with a straight-set loss Tuesday night to Seacrest Academy.
Larra Bickelhaupt led the Sharks’ 25-19, 25-18, 25-22 defeat with a double-double effort of 11 kills and 13 digs to go with two blocks. Teammate Tiffany Schramm added two blocks and 19 assists.
The Sharks (16-8) are the No. 2 seed in the District 4A-11 Tournament that starts Tuesday at Oasis. The Sharks face No. 3 seed LaBelle at 6 p.m. Wednesday followed by No. 1 seed Bishop Verot taking on the winner between Gateway Charter and Dunbar, who play Tuesday at 6 p.m., in Wednesday’s other semifinal at 8 p.m. The Championship match is 7 p.m. on Thursday.
Ida Baker 3, Cape Coral 0: Kristina Kayatta led Ida Baker’s 25-14, 25-21, 25-13 victory Tuesday night with eight kills, 18 digs and four assists.
Help came from Ashley Vargas with five kills, five service aces, 11 digs and four blocks. Devon Ramey contributed six kills and nine digs while Amanda Gross had five kills, 12 assists and two digs.
The Bulldogs (12-8) play at Cypress Lake on Thursday and host Island Coast at 7 p.m. Monday in the District 6A-11 Tournament. The winner travels to No. 1 seed Venice in the semifinal round at 7 p.m. on Tuesday.
Riverdale 3, Mariner 0: Riverdale claimed a straight-set 25-4, 25-8, 25-11 victory at Mariner Tuesday night ruining the Tritons’ senior night festivities.
The Tritons visit North Fort Myers Thursday in the regular-season finale.
Swimming
Oasis faced Evangelical Christian and Canterbury on senior night Tuesday, with the boys celebrating wins over both while the girls’ team lost to both rivals.

At Coral Lanes: Cape High swept matches Tuesday against Riverdale, both by 4-1 margins .
Mia Raymond rolled a high game of 167 to lead the Seahawk girls to a total pinfall of 621. Parker Pentiuk rolled 202 in the boys’ 855 total pinfall.
