Seahawks tumble at The Nest 3-0
Lely came calling at The Nest Thursday night and earned a happy bus trip back to Naples with a 25-18, 25-20, 25-22 win over Cape Coral.
Carly Villardi led the Seahawks in defeat with a double-double of 11 kills and 12 digs. Amberlee Culp contributed five service aces to go with 21 digs.
The Seahawks (5-3) pay a visit to Dunbar on Monday.
Oasis 3, Dunbar 0: Larra Bickelhaupt nearly had a triple-double effort Thursday night in leading Oasis to a 25-2, 25-6, 25-7 romp.
Bickelhaupt delivered nine kills to go with 11 service aces and nine assists. Ana Stauffer contributed three aces and 14 assists for the Sharks and Nae Molin four kills and four assists.
The Sharks (9-2) take part in a Saturday tournament at Riverdale.
Bishop Verot 3, LaBelle 0: Margaux Fry smashed 12 kills to pace Bishop Verot’s 25-11, 25-9, 25-11 victory Thursday at LaBelle.
Andrea Globetti contributed seven kills and Alyssa Collins 11 digs for the Vikings (5-1), who travel to Gateway Charter on Tuesday.
Golden Gate 3, Mariner 1: Golden Gate won back-to-back games to snap a 1-1 tie and claimed a hard-fought 25-17, 20-25, 25-18, 25-20 victory Thursday night at Mariner.
Defensive specialists Amanda Myers and Madi McClellan combined for 12 digs for the Tritons, who host Immokalee on Tuesday.

At Magnolia Landings: North Fort Myers won a close match against Island Coast Thusday, led by medalist Nick Marchitto with a score of 43.
Brandon Daugherty contributed a 45 toward the Red Knights’ team total of 205.
Riley Zahordusky led Island Coast to a team total of 212 with a round of 45.

At Head Pinz: Ida Baker split its match with Cape Coral on Thursday with the boys pulling out a 4-1 win and the Seahawks girls scoring a 3-2 win.
Joseph Marinello rolled the high game for the Bulldogs (6-0) of 223 while Parker Pentiuk rolled a high of 206 for the Seahawks (5-1). Kaela Ruby rolled a high game of 222 to lead the girls’ team.
The Seahawks take on Island Coast next Tuesday at All Star Lanes.
