Prep Report: Baker girls post 12th win
Ida Baker riddled Lehigh with 14 base hits to claim a 12-0, five-inning victory Thursday night.
Sophomore Maddy Peres pitched three innings to pick up her 11th win of the season. She struck out nine and held the Lightning hitless. She also drove in two runs with a double while senior Hannah Kelly also delivered a two-run double.
Shanelly Brown and Louie Ross came through with three hits apiece with Deniece Bent and Kori Nelson each adding two hits.
The win keeps the Bulldogs unbeaten on the season at 12-0 heading into Friday’s District 4A-11 confrontation at Riverdale.

Barron Collier 5, Cape Coral 0: Barron Collier handed Cape Coral its fifth straight defeat.

Lehigh 7, Ida Baker 2: Senior Reece Lanier scattered five hits over seven innings and junior Matthew Logan homered to lift Lehigh over Ida Baker.
The Bulldogs struck out only once in the game, but trailed 7-0 before rallying for two runs in the sixth inning.
Billy Larrimore (1-1) pitched three innings, surrendering two earned runs, to earn the loss.
The Bulldogs (8-8) play at Riverdale Friday.
