Junior Cain Spangler drove in a total of six runs to back the no-hit, shutout pitching of senior Stefan Groening to propel the Cape Coral Seahawks to a 10-0 victory over East Lee County Thursday night.

The win is the seventh in a row for the Seahawks after they dropped their season-opener to Island Coast.

Spangler (3-for-4) drove in three runs with a double in the second inning, staking the Seahawks to a 4-0 lead at the time. He finished it off with a walk-off three-run triple in the fifth inning that brought the 10-run rule into play.

Senior Brad Kopale had a pair of hits, including a triple, and scored three runs while sophomore Cody Carroll contributed two hits with one RBI and scored four times. Spangler, Kopale and Carroll accounted for seven of the Seahawks’ 10 total hits.

Groening (3-0) faced just 17 batters, two over the minimum for a five-inning game. He struck out three.
