2 min read

Cape Coral’s bats came alive in the fourth inning as the Seahawks erupted for five runs on their way to a 9-0 victory at Dunbar Monday night.

A two-run double by Cain Spangler (2-for-4) and a key hit by Brandon Marshall highlighted the uprising. Brad Kopale (2-for-4) and Mike Padula (2-for-3) contributed two hits apiece toward the 11-hit attack.

“It was kind of a trap game coming off a big win over Fort Myers,” said Seahawks coach Mike Gorton. “We have to learn from the mistakes we made. We’re just lucky we did not get burned by them tonight.”

The Seahawks (5-1) travel to Lemon Bay Tuesday.
