Blades make roster changes
Florida Everblades goaltender Jaroslav Janus was recalled by the AHL’s Norfolk Admirals on Friday, according to a team announcement.
The Blades also signed a pair of players from the Augusta RiverHawks of the Southern Professional Hockey League.
The call-up is the fourth this season for Janus. In his last trip to Norfolk, Janus played his first AHL game, earning a tie in a 7-6 overtime loss to the Charlotte Checkers.
Janus, a sixth-round draft pick by the Tampa Bay Lightning in 2009, has played in 25 games with the Everblades this season, posting an 11-12-0 record with a 3.03 goals-against average.
The team signed goaltender Adam Avramenko and defenseman Joe Tolles to contracts Friday.
Avramenko, 24, was 9-7-0 with a 3.68 goals-against average and a .884 save percentage in 16 games with Fayetteville and Augusta of the SPHL.
Tolles, 22, joins the Blades having seen action in eight games with the RiverHawks.
The Everblades are back on the ice Saturday and Sunday at South Carolina. Their next home game is March 4.
