Miracle fail to get sweep
After winning the first two games of the series against Jupiter, the Fort Myers Miracle couldn’t figure out Hammerheads pitcher Kyle Kaminska, who allowed just three baserunners in eight-plus innings of a 3-0 victory Wednesday night at Hammond Stadium.
The loss denies the Miracle (11-15) their first series sweep of the season. The Miracle, who have won six of their last eight, welcome the St. Lucie Mets Thursday night to open a three-game series at Hammond Stadium.
Kaminska (1-2) tried to finish the complete game, but gave up a leadoff single in the ninth to Brandon Roberts before being pulled. He faced just four over the minimum number of batters. The next three batters were retired in order to complete the shutout.
