PAL team 3rd at state
The Fort Myers Police Department’s girls’ 12-under Police Athletic League basketball team placed third in the state PAL basketball championships played last weekend at Disney’s Wide World of Sports Complex in Orlando.
Team members include Kembranya Patterson, Malaysia Clark, Ahamri Riggins, Meloni Salters, Dekerya Patterson, Syanna Brown, Nykeria Jacob and Unique Lee, coached by Howard West and Desiree McDonald.
The Fort Myers PAL chapter offers a variety of activities, including flag football, basketball, boxing, track and field, baseball and a youth director’s/mentoring program. It is supported primarily through donations. All coaches and volunteers are from the Fort Myers Police Department or the local community.
