The Southwest Florida Thunder 11-U AAU baseball team went undefeated to win their division in the second annual IBC Christmas Grand Slam Tournament at Collier Regional Park played Dec. 19-20. The Thunder faced the Sarasota Sharks to earn a spot in the championship game. The Thunder trailed 2-0 lead heading into the fourth inning. Sparked by a couple of hits, and with some patient at the plate, the Thunder took a 4-2 lead and held on for a 5-2 victory. In the championship game the Thunder limited the Naples Mustangs to two hits and two runs in five innings en route to a 10-2 victory.
