Blades trump Royals 6-3
TOLEDO – The seventh meeting between the Florida Everblades and Toledo Walleye proved to be a difficult contest.
Both teams appeared evenly matched and the first period ended 1-1. The Everblades took a 3-1 lead at the beginning of the second, but Toledo fought back within 4-3. The Everblades pulled away in the third period and won 6-3.
The Everblades’ six goals came from six different players – Ryan Lang, Kevin Baker, Dylan Stanley, Harrison Reed, Jordan Morrison and Earnie Hartlieb.
The Blades (10-7-2) have five more road games on their current trip, including Saturday and Sunday at Kalamazoo.
